Trolling the Golden State Warriors about blowing a 3-1 lead in the NBA Finals has quickly become one of America’s favorite pastimes, especially when it comes to social media. But according to Kevin Durant, losing to the Cavs was at least partially the impetus behind him signing with the team in free agency this summer.
Durant, lest we forget, also knows a thing or two about blowing a 3-1 lead in the playoffs, as his Thunder eventually did against the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals last spring. For the Warriors, after winning the most regular-season games in NBA history, it’s something they’ll likely never live down. The world at large has shown little mercy so far, and that apparently now includes their opponents, even the ones they happened to beat handily in the post-season.
We're playing that team with that new player tonight. We put the odds right around 3-1.

It’s an expert-level troll job by the Portland Trail Blazers‘ social media team, and there’s been no indication that the rest of the Twittersphere is going to ease up anytime soon. As head coach Steve Kerr said, they might as well get used to it.
Steve Kerr on the 3-1 jokes: "If any of our players are on social media, they have a long miserable life ahead of them."

No matter how good the new-look Warriors are this season, nothing short of an NBA title will help them move beyond their spectacular Finals collapse last June.
