On the day Carmelo Anthony was releasing his latest signature shoe, the Jordan Melo M8, it was only fitting that he do it in front of a rambunctious NYC crowd. Dropping by the House of Hoops on 125th Street yesterday evening, ‘Melo brought along Jadakiss to help him introduce his latest kicks.
With 30 students from Brookyln’s Eagle Academy on hand to witness the arrival of his eighth signature shoe, Jadakiss hosted a short Q&A session with the Knick forward, who spoke about what makes this particular release so special. As we’ve told you before, the Jordan Melo M8 is made specifically for the explosive ballplayer, featuring a Max Air unit in the heel and a Nike Zoom unit in the forefoot to provide impact protection and lightweight cushioning. In addition, the shoe features next generation Flywire technology on the quarter panel providing additional support and comfort.
After discussing the shoe, ‘Melo fielded a few questions from the students and fans about his return to New York, the lockout, and the even possibility of Eagle Academy getting their own Jordan gear.
