Miami Heat rookie Justise Winslow has been tremendous during his inaugural NBA season, and he’s been building on that resume so far here in the opening-round playoff series against the Hornets. But every rookie has to undergo a few growing pains along the way, and that’s exactly what happened on Wednesday night when he totally botched this wide-open dunk attempt early in the fourth quarter.
He and the Heat would have the last laugh, however, as they got a 115-103 victory over the Hornets and took a 2-0 series lead as they head to Charlotte for Game 3 on Saturday. Winslow finished with nine points and four rebounds on 4-of-6 shooting from the field.
