A month is an eternity online, so a tweet from three weeks ago is absolutely categorized as “old.” But did a LeBron James tweet from late June indicate that something was up with the Cleveland Cavaliers?
Reports of Kyrie Irving’s stunning trade request on Friday made people scroll back through the timeline of significant Cavaliers players and Internet denizens noted that LeBron himself had something interesting to say back on June 30.
No one wins when the Family Feuds

Perhaps that tweet was a subtle mention of the significant rift between the Cavaliers these days. Or maybe he was watching game shows and thought it was a clever line. Reports later Friday indicated that James has known about the Irving report for some time now, though that didn’t make its initial impact any less shocking.
Windhorst on ESPN: "LeBron was devastated, from what I understand… He learned this several days ago. This wasn't new to him today."

LeBron reportedly won’t get in between the mess between Irving and the Cavaliers, and you are free to draw your own conclusions as to what exactly that means.
It’s honestly tough to tell what anything means these days, as the shape and form of our major institutions shifts so rapidly. What appeared to be a rock-solid Cleveland Cavaliers team poised to compete for another NBA title may be crumbling before our eyes. First, a general manager departs, then a “peculiar” state becomes a ruin.
Empires have fallen over less, I suppose, but right now in the NBA it appears the one true dynasty is the Golden State Warriors, defending themselves from all comers with no indication of inner turmoil.
Time, however, has a way of coming for us all.
