Markieff Morris‘ ugly departure from the Phoenix Suns a couple of years ago was largely because the organization traded away his brother Marcus against his wishes. Like most twins, the two have an extremely close relationship, but when they’re on the court squaring off against one another, all bets are off.
During the Wizards’ game against the Pistons on Friday night, Markieff wasn’t about to let his little brother get an easy layup on him, so when Marcus tried to drive to the basket on him on the fast break, he swatted his shot away with extreme prejudice. He helped him up off the floor afterward but couldn’t resist engaging in a little friendly trash talk.
