Maya Moore is one of the absolute best female basketball players in the world, and the former University of Connecticut star’s full talents were on display in Game 3 of the WNBA Finals on Friday.
With the series tied at one game a piece between Moore’s Minnesota Lynx and the Indiana Fever, Moore gave the Lynx a 2-1 lead on the road after hitting the game-winning three-pointer as time expired.
Several NBA stars took notice of Moore’s clutchness on Twitter.

Moore, a former WNBA MVP and Finals MVP, is now just one win away from capturing her third championship and earning the right to be talked about among some of the greats to play the game such as Sheryl Swoopes, Diana Taurasi, Lisa Leslie, Cynthia Cooper, and Lauren Jackson.
While Moore’s accomplishments might not quite reach the levels as some of those greats just yet, at the age of 26, she still has plenty of time to match and even surpass their accomplishments.
The WNBA will of course never achieve the same level of popularity as the NBA, but athletes such as Moore deserve to be celebrated, and NBA stars are doing their part by discussing the WNBA on social media is sure to help her talent become more widely celebrated.
As for fans in Minnesota, they might as well jump on the Lynx bandwagon while there is still time, as the Lynx are likely going to be the only basketball team from Minnesota winning a championship any time soon.
