Muggsy Bogues Got Reacquainted With His Old ‘Space Jam’ Friends In London

There is no movie that better mixes NBA stars from 1996 with members of the Looney Tunes than Space Jam. Is it the best movie on earth? Absolutely not, but it’s a fun, silly movie that looks to give you a heavy dose of nostalgia through an assortment of famous animated cartoon characters and a bunch of old basketball players (and Bill Murray, because everything is better with Bill Murray).

When you recall the athletes in the movie, you’ll always think of the more notable basketball players, like Michael Jordan, Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, and Patrick Ewing. One of the guys who may slip people’s minds is Muggsy Bogues, the diminutive former point guard for a handful of teams, most notably the Charlotte Hornets. Bogues was one of the players who had his talent stolen by the Monstars, and on Tuesday, he apparently wanted to show his appreciation to two members of the Tune Squad for winning his talent back.

Bogues, Bugs Bunny, and Daffy Duck met in London, as all three were in England’s capital for Thursday’s NBA London game between the Orlando Magic and the Toronto Raptors. While he’s already said he doesn’t want there to be a sequel, maybe Bogues and his old friends are looking for a star for Space Jam 2.
