Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook will face off against one another on an NBA court for the first time on Thursday evening. Prior to the game, we already have potential fireworks, even as one of the parties is refusing to answer questions about the other. Westbrook is famous for entering various NBA arenas in his own unique style, but in advance of this highly-anticipated match-up, the Oklahoma City Thunder star donned a very interesting ensemble. Westbrook wore all white and threw on a photographer’s vest as he walked into the locker room.
As it turns out, this might have been a shot at Durant.

Westbrook has been unencumbered (and doing what he wants) with Durant out of the way in Oklahoma City, to the point where even Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is commenting on his early-season play.

Update: Just a few moments after the ensemble was revealed, Westbrook denied any involvement with Durant.

Regardless, Russell Westbrook is able to “do his thing” in full without Durant on his side and it is must-see television on a nightly basis. Whether this was actually intended as shade toward his former teammate or not is up for debate, but Westbrook continues to be arguably the most charismatic and entertaining player in the NBA. This is yet another example of his remarkable showmanship.
