These Overzealous Fans Got Through The Offseason By Bringing The NBA To The University Of Houston Campus

For some of us, the NBA season just can’t get here fast enough. For others, the offseason is dragging for so long that they just needed to recreate some NBA moments on the University of Houston campus.

Four U of H students wearing NBA jerseys (Kyrie Irving, Steph Curry, Patrick Beverley, James Harden, Dwight Howard, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James) brought a mini hoop and basketball around the campus and dunked on, euro-stepped around, defended and made game-winning shots over unsuspecting classgoers.

The two-minute video is incredibly fun and is cut with audio from Kevin Harlan, Mike Breen and a few of the NBA’s best play-by-play guys as the students reenact everything from basic basketball highlights to niche NBA happenings.

The highlight of the video is when one of the students wearing the Howard jersey receives the ball in ‘the post’ against a passerby not wearing a jersey, but a backpack. The kid in the backpack actually tries to defend the student in the Howard jersey, yelling out, “What’s good, boy?!” before the kid in the Howard jersey throws down a disgusting jam which sends the other kid, and his backpack, flying to the ground.

If for no other reason, watch for the Harden cooking dance and the Kobe Bryant stretched jersey celebrations.
