What Vanderbilt just did against Florida in Tuesday night’s college basketball game could go down as the sport’s one-two play of the year.
Down 37-35 with seconds remaining in the first half, it looked as though the Gators were going to put in an easy basket before halftime. Instead, Commodores guard Matthew Fisher-Davis blocked a would-be layup. Then, ‘Dores big man Josh Henderson basically shot-putted the ball—from Florida’s foul line, mind you—for a buzzer beating three-pointer. Seriously, that ball had almost no arc whatsoever.
That put Vanderbilt up 40-35 at the half. What a total change in momentum.
