Tulsa Shock‘s rookie Skylar Diggins is both the lightening quick guard out of Notre Dame and a pretty solid dancer. She showed off off the latter talent on Instagram a couple days ago.
“Werrrrrrrkk” she captioned the IG video on Friday. She neglected the T in “Twerk” and it called to mind Blackstreet‘s hit from ’96. Except Diggins was 6 at the time “No Diggity” came out, and the song in the background of her Twerk video is nowhere near my high school era. It’s self-proclaimed “Mr. King of Twerk” Kstylis singing (chanting?) his hit, “Booty Me Down.”

People seem to enjoy the “Mr. King of Twerk” (shouldn’t it just be “King of Twerk”?); almost 3 million people have watched “Booty Me Down.” Diggins is certainly one of them.
In her rookie season with the Shock, Skylar averaged 8.5 points and 3.8 assists in a little over 26 minutes a game. But she struggled from the field, shooting 32.8 percent from the floor overall and just 24.4 percent from beyond the arc. She’ll probably bounce back in her sophomore WNBA season faster than we will from discovering there’s someone named Kstylis who has released a very popular twerking song.
