Right now NBA teams are jockeying for playoff positioning, but the All-Star break and trade deadline has passed and we’re in a waiting pattern until this time next month when the real season starts. Except, right after the Ides of March there’s this thing called the NCAA Tournament. Maybe you’ve heard of it.

DIME’s got at least one ninny who isn’t exactly itching for all the college basketball that’s coming, and that’s why this is your chance to show our writers why they’re a bunch of yokels who wouldn’t know a mid-major star if they were standing next to one. One of our writers still thinks Syracuse is in the Big East and John Thompson coaches Georgetown (Oh, his son is coaching now? Got it).

DIME contributors will be filling out our own tournament brackets as part of the YahooTourney Pick’em. You, dear reader, can also enter for free. That’s Free! Despite how cheap it is to enter, you could walk away with an easy $4000. Enter the Uproxx pool here and — even if you don’t win — you can still brag on Twitter about how you know more about college basketball than those frauds at DIME.

You can spot a DIME bracket because it will have “DIME” in the title. For example, the ninny mentioned above who thinks NCAA basketball is a collage of free throws, whistles, ugly jumpers, zone defenses, and idiot children painting their faces, titled his pathetic bracket DIME_SpencerTyrelGrouch (he’s our pick for the worst bracket in the whole Pick’em).

The contest follows Yahoo’s standard Tourney rules, so make sure you check them out before you make your picks.

On Monday we’ll let you know how each DIME contributor is doing, so you can all get a chuckle out of how bad some of us are at this.
