Debbie Reynolds has provided an update on her daughter Carrie Fisher’s condition via an official post on social media, giving hope to fans that are praying for the best following her heart attack on Friday. Reynolds indicated that any updates will come from the family in the future:
My daughter, Carrie Fisher, is in stable condition. If there is any change, the family will share the information at that time.
Fisher’s brother shared similar news late on Friday, informing the public that the actress had been transferred from the emergency room to the ICU in stable condition. It’s all news that certainly positive after many feared the worst. Many of Fisher’s friends and co-stars shared their thoughts and prayers online almost as soon as the news broke. Fisher suffered her heart attack on a flight from London to Los Angeles, forcing emergency personnel to reportedly resuscitate the actress on board before transferring to emergency services at a nearby hospital.
Reynolds’ update is some welcome news to close out the holiday weekend. We’ll update you as soon as any other updates are provided by the family. Hopefully the recovery continues until then and Fisher can be back on the streets with her pal Gary in the near future.
