Promotional media rounds and interviews for movies are typically pretty boring, except in the rare instances when veteran actors get pissed off about being asked the same questions for the 5,000th time or if the interviewer tries to ask about a completely unrelated movie. But Emma Stone is always one of the most charming and lovable people in the room, so naturally Merrick Watts and Sophie Monk from Australia’s 2DayFM decided to make her interview for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 a little more fun than the rest.
It turns out that Stone was a pretty huge Spice Girls fan back in the day, so they actually had Mel B (AKA Scary Spice) send Stone a video message, and while you’d think that an A-list actress wouldn’t be affected by a few words from a 90s pop star, she actually got a little teary-eyed. Then she tried to sing “Wannabe,” because you’re not going to deny Scary Spice’s wishes after she went to the trouble of recording a short video for you.
The whole thing is just very random and strange, but because it’s Stone, it’s delightfully adorable as always.
