Just a few minutes after I finished posting my first post about James Eagan Holmes, the 24-year-old neuroscience PhD candidate at University of Colorado who killed 12 and wounded 53 at an Aurora, Colorado Dark Knight screening, the New York Daily News published his picture. He doesn’t look as crazy as the guy who shot Gabby Giffords or the Virginia Tech killer, whatever that means. It’s always weird to me when a guy takes the trouble to buy a helmet and a flak jacket and a gas mask and booby traps his house and then just surrenders to police without a fight. It wasn’t enough to shoot unarmed people, you couldn’t even stick to your own plan? Jeez, what an asshole.
