Most of the frot crew is either home or on their way to visit family for the holidays this week (also Bret refuses to discuss Star Wars and Brendan wasn’t seeing it until tonight), so instead I conducted a special edition Frotcast about Star Wars: The Force Awakens with Justin Halpern, author of Sh*t My Dad Says/I Suck At Girls, his writing partner Pat Schumacker (Sh*t My Dad Says, Surviving Jack), Laremy Legel of Whoop Dreams and Seattle’s best morning news critic, and comedian Matt Lieb, whom you may know from Bandwagon Haters or his Chobani commercials.
Crazy thing, we actually discussed movies the entire time this time. Well, movie, anyway. Specifically, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. (Me repeating Star Wars: The Force Awakens is really good for SEO). Obviously, there are spoilers. Topics include: Hey, whats up with the Force? Who is Rey’s father? Does Luke Skywalker ever use the force to jerk off? Why is Kylo Ren so bad at being a bad guy? The surprising not-Jewishness of Adam Driver (according to Matt Lieb, who I guess has good Jew-dar, I actually have no idea whether Adam Driver is Jewish), and Justin’s theory, Star Wars fans are the New England Patriots fans of the movie world.
