Fresh off his performance at the Invictus Games in London, as he warmed up the crowd for a show of Foo Fighters’ greatest hits, Ryan Adams played a concert at Shepherd’s Bush Empire last night. The Telegraph called the entire show “mesmerizing,” “sprawling” and “thunderous,” while likening its energy and purpose to Scotland’s looming decision, because rock-n-roll, right? Helping to make the show so memorable was the fact that actor and fantasy camp rock star Johnny Depp stopped by to shred some righteous GEE-TAR with Adams and his band, while answering the question, “Hey, what happened to Pharrell’s hat?”
The song of choice for Depp’s appearance was Danzig’s “Mother,” which sounds odd as hell considering the band and the actor, but based on the above and below videos, they pretty much f*cking nailed it.
