Listen, all y’all, it’s a sabotage! Well, not really, but that song is going to be gloriously stuck in your head all day if it wasn’t already, because the Beastie Boys track is put to good use throughout the first trailer for Star Trek Beyond, the third entry in the rebooted Star Trek series.
This film stars Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zachary Quinto, Idris Elba, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Karl Urban, Anton Yelchin, and that badass gray alien ninja is Sofia Boutella. We didn’t spot Idris Elba’s villain anywhere in this trailer, but we suppose they can’t give it all away in the first spot.
Directed by Justin Lin and written by Simon Pegg (who’s also playing Scotty), Star Trek Beyond opens July 22, 2016.
