Today, Netflix announced Julie's Greenroom, an upcoming preschool series starring Julie Andrews. Co-created by Andrews, her daughter Emma Walton Hamilton, and Judy Rothman-Rofe, Julie's Greenroom is from The Jim Henson Company and will, naturally, feature a puppet cast.
In Julie's Greenroom, Andrews plays Ms. Julie, the director of “Wellspring Center for the Performing Arts” who teaches performing arts to a group of students. Per the press release, “with Ms. Julie”s guidance and inspiration from the visiting guest artists, the kids create an entirely original new show, that is a mashup of all the performing arts including mime, music, dance, improv, circus arts, voice and more.” The visiting guest stars will include Ellie Kemper, Alec Baldwin, Titus Burgess, Josh Groban, Idina Menzel, and more big names that will make you secretly watch a kids show.
Julie's Greenroom will premiere with 13 30-minute episodes in early 2017. You can watch the adorable announcement below.
