When Supergirl flies from CBS to The CW for the new TV season, it could be losing a key cast member.
During a conference call with reporters, CW head Mark Pedowitz said Calista Flockhart”s future with the series is up in the air, this according to Deadline. The Golden Globe-winning actress plays Cat Grant on the superhero program.
As the show is moving its production base from Los Angeles to Vancouver, Pedowitz was asked if the L.A.-based Flockhart would migrate with the rest of the cast. “We are very happy to have her,” he said. “There are ongoing discussions. We are thrilled that she wants to continue on the show, and we are thrilled to have her in whatever capacity.”
Supergirl took off initially at CBS. The pilot brought in nearly 13 million viewers, but the series was never able to recapture this initial wave of interest. By the end of the year, viewership had dropped to just over 6 million, its second lowest numbers of the season.
