“Falling Skies” is returning to Earth for a fourth season.
TNT has ordered a fourth season of the DreamWorks Television sci-fi drama starring Noah Wyle.
The cable network is aiming to launch the 10-episode new season in summer 2014.
“Falling Skies” stars Wyle as Tom Mason, a professor who is transformed into a brave leader of a resistance group after a destructive alien invasion renders the Earth a battlefield.
The series also stars Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Drew Roy, Connor Jessup, Maxim Knight, Seychelle Gabriel, Mpho Koaho, Colin Cunningham and Sarah Carter. The show is executive produced by Steven Spielberg.
Guest stars this season include Gloria Reuben, Robert Sean Leonard, Stephen Collins and Doug Jones.
So far this season, “Falling Skies” is averaging 5.8 million viewers in Live + 7 delivery and stands as basic cable’s #1 scripted series with adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 for the summer-to-date.
“Falling Skies” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on TNT.
