Food trucks are starting to permeate every aspect of the culinary scene. They’re proving grounds for young chefs and Michelin starred chefs alike. They’ve been embraced by almost every aspect of the market. You know we’re fans of the medium and its near endless potential. Well, that potential is about to grow in Houston. Fast food behemoth, Chick-fil-A wants a slice of that sweet, sweet food truck pie.
Chick-fil-A is rolling out their first ever food truck in the Houston area on December 15th. But doesn’t Houston already have a Chick-fil-A, you ask? Yes, they do — 74 to be exact. Houston has an insatiable appetite for Chick-fil-A. The number one store in the whole of America is in Houston. So it makes pretty solid business sense to test their food truck in a market that adores their food. Twitter seems very excited.

The truck will have a menu limited to “the Original Chicken Sandwich, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, one or two cold entrée products and waffle fries. The drinks will be sweet tea, unsweetened tea and lemonade.” The menu adheres to the simplicity that has made the chain so famous. And at least you’ll still be able to order an Arnold Palmer.
