Over at Gawker, Kelly Conaboy looked at the “disastrous Fifty Shades of Grey press tour,” which has been about as sensual as a cold metal table in a coroner’s office. Her main proof came in the form of a “confession” video Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan filmed for Glamour. Anyone expecting hot, hot heat between Not-Bella and Not-Edward would be wise to lower their sexpectations, if the chemistry these two display for each other here is any indication.
It’s rumored that Johnson and Dornan did not get along on set, and he even admits, “It was difficult, I’m not going to lie. We definitely fought,” which is exactly what the film’s main demographic — boxed wine of the month subscribers — doesn’t want to hear. The Glamour video does them no favors, either. They seem like two actors who thought they were signing up for a career-making role, not a part in an expensive Lifetime original movie, and now they’re ready to peace the f*ck out from ever mentioning the word “grey” again. I can’t wait to see it.
