Things are going incredibly well for former Parks and Recreation actor Chris Pratt. Last summer’s Guardians of the Galaxy propelled his Hollywood star far beyond the earthbound Pawnee, Ind., and Jurassic World literally puts him on a motorcycle with a roving pack of Velociraptors. How much more awesome can one man possibly get?
Despite the many rewards such fame brings, Pratt is already weary of it, and he freely shares his sentiments in the new issue of Entertainment Weekly:
“I don’t wanna raise Jack here,” admits Pratt, who’s married to Mom star Anna Faris. “Anna and I are both from Washington State. We both had pretty simple lives and upbringings. I want Jack to just be able to be like, ‘See ya buddy. Go outside. Come back later.’ And also, I like the country and clean air and things just slowed down.”
Pratt’s busy schedule for next year (and possibly more) means he won’t be leaving California anytime soon. Plus, Faris’s CBS show Mom is one of the network’s biggest hits. But what about when Faris is no longer “doing her show?” Seems the state of Washington is the place to be.
Pratt’s already-awesome parenting skills score the final bonus points when he explains their parental reasoning:
“I’d like to give him some normalcy. It’s gonna be weird for him to have famous parents. It’s gonna be a burden for him sometimes, you know? But it’s all relative.”
Sounds like Jack is in incredibly smart, caring, loving, and muscular hands.
