So you’re probably thinking, “Why is this even a post? OF COURSE Hugh Jackman will be playing Wolverine in X-Men: Apocalypse!” And to be honest, I’m right there with you. It makes perfect sense, especially since the character — at least in some of the Apocalypse comics — becomes one of the big baddie’s proverbial four horsemen. The thing is, Jackman’s definitely leaving the character behind in the next few years.
But aside from an increasing bounty of Instagram photos from director Bryan Singer, occasional paparazzi shots and other bits of info here and there, no one has really said whether or not Jackman’s in the film. At least, no one has said anything until now.
A custom leather boutique in Brooklyn called Kika NY let slip a few weeks ago that they’d been tasked with creating “a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new X MEN movie in Montreal.” Then they posted their sketches to Instagram, with an explainer:

Okay, okay, OKAY. Is it really a “confirmation”? No, not really. But considering 20th Century Fox, Singer and Jackman’s respective inabilities to confirm or deny the latter’s appearance in the film, it’s good enough for me.
