The Fast & Furious franchise is a snowball barreling down a mountain, picking up action stars with each rotation. What started out as a film about Vin Diesel and Paul Walker racing around California has morphed into a series of big-budget international action movies about heists and/or saving the world that features everyone from Ludacris to Tyrese to The Rock to Kurt Russell to, yes, Jason Statham. And that last part ain’t gonna change in the immediate future either, as the Stath confirmed to Access Hollywood that he’ll be back for Furious 8, to shoot big guns and smash fast cars and do all the other things people in Fast & Furious movies do now. What a wonderful time to be alive.
Now all that’s left to do is cast Helen Mirren as his mom, and we got ourselves a movie.
