All that’s left to do before Star Wars: The Force Awakens comes out on Dec. 18 is wait impatiently for a new trailer, buy tickets, and drop a cool $50 on a Darth Vader toaster. Well, today (or more accurately, Monday) is your lucky day, because rumor has it a new trailer, the movie’s third, will premiere during Monday Night Football, with tickets going on sale soon after.
You can buy pointless crap whenever you want.
io9 reports that “the trailer will debut Monday night,” during the Giants vs. Eagles game on ESPN (which is owned by Disney), and “tickets will go on sale very soon after that, likely around 8:30 p.m. EST.” Eli Manning, the young Ani Skywalker of NFL QBs, might ask Ryan Nassib to fill in for him for a series.
When tickets do go on sale, they’ll be for screenings of the film starting at 7 p.m. on Dec. 17 through Jan. 3. In addition, you’ll be able to get a tickets for a seven-movie marathon, from The Phantom Menace to The Force Awakens, which will start at 4 a.m. and conclude with a 7 p.m. screening. The movie then runs 136 minutes. (Via io9)
That sounds like a 15-hour marathon before The Force Awakens premieres, but really, it’s a 13-hour marathon with a two-hour bathroom break while Attack of the Clones is playing.
