Handsome fella and decorated Star Trek captain Chris Pine is currently hard at work filming the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, and now the world’s been treated to our first glimpse of Pine as Steve Trevor. Lucky you!
Co-star Saïd Taghmaoui (yup, he’s in the movie too) shared a pic of himself and Pine from the set of the DC Comics cinematic offering on Facebook and Instagram. Taghmaoui yanked the image from his social media services shortly after posting, but that was no guarantee that the photo wouldn’t be saved forever on the dork web.

Provided that Pine and Taghmaoui aren’t dolled up this way for an unrelated costume ball, this pic seems to back up early chatter that the film will not be spending its entirety in the present day. Details about the film have been kept mostly under wraps which also explains why the paper on the trailer features the film’s working title “Nightingale” rather than Wonder Woman.
It’s been nearly a decade of waiting for this film to burst forth from development hell, so it’s nice to get confirmation that the Wonder Woman movie is actually happening and not just a message board fever dream.
The finished product is due out in June 2017 with Monster helmer Patty Jenkins serving as director. Wonder Woman (played by Gal Gadot) will pop up on the big screen before that in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice which is slated for release on March 25, 2016.
