Amber Heard Pleads Guilty To Smuggling Two Ferocious Fur Balls Into Australia

If there ever was an inalienable truth in this world, it would be that dogs are man’s best friend. That isn’t just for you and me, the common folk of the world, because the same applies to the rich, famous and fabulous of the world as well. We all fall for the devilish charms of an adorable pup just the same.

Johnny Depp might be best known for his incredible performances in memorable roles such as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, Edward Scissorhands and most recently Whitey Bulger in Black Mass, but he’s very much a dog person, as is his wife Amber Heard. So much so that when Depp was filming the latest in Disney’s swashbuckling Pirates of the Caribbean movies on the Gold Coast last May that Heard packed the couple’s two dogs, Boo and Pistol, aboard the private jet to visit their working doggie dad.

As it turns out, that violates Australia’s rather strict policies on importing animals to the country, which landed Heard in court today. Heard had falsified a quarantine document for the pooches, allowing them to enter the country illegally. The couple arrived at the Southport Magistrates Court today, according to the Australia Broadcasting Company, where Heard pleaded guilty to falsifying said documents. She faced two charges of illegal importation of an animal and one count of producing a false document, to which the first two counts were dropped.

The lesson to take home from this here is to never falsify documents when bringing your pets to another country, and if you do, don’t take them to a grooming salon while the press follows you snapping photos.
