Joe Carnahan — with the right material — is a very good hand. Narc is one of the best crime-thrillers of all-time, and while some of his work, namely Smokin’ Aces, failed to hit the mark, there’s no doubt that the auteur is a talented individual. It looks like Joe will get another crack at a big time film, as Sony is currently looking to Carnahan to write and possibly direct the latest film in the Bad Boys series.
Will Smith and Martin Lawrence are expected to return, and the franchise — although it stumbled with its second outing — still made a ton of money for the studio and will likely do so again with a third film.
