Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a film that everyone likes. The same can’t be said for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, a “mopey, dopey movie” that “lands with a big thud.” What connects the two, besides the fact that they’re going to make an unimaginable amount of money? 5 News’ Sian Welby. The self-proclaimed “weather girl” dropped several Star Wars-based puns into her forecast back in December (“If you Luke father west” is inspired), and now she’s done the same with Batman v Superman. Welby cramps 20 references into the 60-second clip above, including, “As the Dark Knight rises, more wind, rain and cloud will be the Bane of the West.” Other gems:
-“Things have Gotham bad to worse”
-“Lex have a look how things progress this afternoon”
-“Sun will struggle to Dent the cloud in the north Adam West”
-“You needed X-ray vision to see through the fog in some parts of the country this morning”
