They may have beaten out superheroes, snipers and psychotic housewives to win their respective Oscars, but before Eddie Redmayne and Julianne Moore were hoisting golden statues in the air and giving emotional acceptance speeches at the 87th Academy Awards, the two were having creepy on-screen threesomes together.
Redmayne won hardware last night for his performance as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything while Moore won for her part in the film Still Alice which centers on a woman suffering from early onset Alzheimer’s. Moore helped the rookie Redmayne get his start in Hollywood and the two became pals after starring in the 2007 drama Savage Grace.
The movie, which basically revolved around the incestuous relationship between a millionaire socialite and her troubled son, wasn’t a hit with critics but none of that really matters because while the film itself is nothing to write home about, the movie did feature one the weirdest on-screen threesomes you’ll ever see. It stars a feminine-looking Redmayne, Moore as his mother, and a naked Hugh Dancy caught in the middle (literally).
