If you listen to How Did This Get Made, you’ll likely remember the hilarious No Holds Barred episode. If not seek it out for reference and at least laugh your head off at the image of Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon locking themselves in a hotel to rewrite the script in one allegedly coke-fueled weekend.
The reason I bring that up now is because there’s some new competition when it comes to ridiculous script revisions. According to a new report in US Weekly, Ben Affleck apparently wasn’t a fan of the Batman V Superman script on the set and had to don the cowl to bring some justice to the film:
The Oscar-winning screenwriter “would go into wardrobe and get all suited up for the day in his Batman suit,” explains the insider of the action flick. “Then he would sit around reworking the script. Ben wasn’t thrilled with it and would find himself on multiple occasions fixing it the day of.”
The only way this rumor could be funnier is if it was really Matt Damon in the bat suit and Ben Affleck was just eating a platter full of nachos on a nearby couch. Still, it’s funny enough just picturing Affleck in the costume, sitting around like Batman doing his taxes. We can only hope it was on a computer or something, otherwise it’s just too ridiculous. Bat-Affleck typing on an old typewriter, busting out white out, and furiously cursing David S. Goyer in his Batman voice.
