If somehow Magic Mike XXL still wasn’t enough of Channing Tatum ripped and covered in baby oil for you, it looks like you are in luck. No, it’s not Magic Mike XXXL, a third installment in the series about Mike and his troupe of male strippers on some sort of new adventure. Instead, Channing Tatum has promised that there will be a live show coming to Las Vegas in 2017 themed around the film series Magic Mike. The thing is, he’s not really sure what it should be yet.
According to EntertainmentWeekly, during a Facebook live chat Tatum dropped the bomb on the world that starting in March of 2017 there would be a live Magic Mike show in Las Vegas. In fact, the star is looking for feedback from the fans as to what the show should actually be.
“We want to change what male entertainment has been for years. For 40, 50 years, it hasn’t changed, and we want to make it better,” Tatum said. “We got to do some different stuff and have some fun in different ways and make it more of a conversation instead of just men going up there and trying to tell you what you should think is sexy. We really want to hear from you.”
Somehow, I get the impression that a show centered around oiled-up dudes with the Magic Mike license would do just fine, even if it was kind of like Thunder From Down Under, the Vegas mainstay that sees lean Aussie dudes putting on a stage show aimed at ladies on transformative Vegas trips.
