Charlotte McKinney is more than just “the next Kate Upton” or the star of that ridiculous Carl’s Jr. Super Bowl ad or the girl that eCig spokesman Stephen Dorff allegedly cheated on. The supermodel is serious about proving that she’s also more than just a pretty face, as she continues to land acting roles that are helping her show off her knack for comedy, which she claims she has developed after becoming bored with simply being a model.

While McKinney has already taken on roles in more traditional comedies like Joe Dirt 2 and next year’s Baywatch film starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, her newest role will provide comedic relief in the upcoming remake of the 1990 medical thriller Flatliners. Deadline reports that the 22-year-old Floridian will play the romantic partner of James Norton’s medical student character, and, more specifically, the two will be involved in a “funny sex scene.” She’s also playing a nurse, so the costume designers should have some fun ahead of them.

McKinney joins an interesting cast that includes Ellen Page, Nina Dobrev, Diego Luna, the aforementioned Norton (whose name you may know from endless James Bond speculation), and Kiefer Sutherland, who recently signed on, presumably as a seal of approval. While Flatliners hasn’t yet begun production, I have traveled to the future and returned with this exclusive still of McKinney as the nurse.
