Just as Jessica Chastain has starred in all movies since 2011, or so it seems, so too has Guillermo del Toro attached his name to literally every project in Hollywood. It was only a matter of time before they worked together. In del Toro’s “f*cking terrifying” Crimson Peak, Chastain plays the weirdo sister to Tom Hiddleston, who just got married to Mia Wasikowska. Also, Sons of Anarchy‘s Charlie Hunnam is there to change his accent four times in the same scene.
It could be yet another supernatural house thriller. But with that cast, and del Toro’s eye for gothic visuals, Crimson, which comes out October 16, is probably worth a Halloween watch. It’s either that or Jem and the Holograms, but that’s too terrifying even for the biggest horror fan.
