Dave Chappelle Has Joined The Cast Of Spike Lee’s ‘Chiraq’

Back in April, the news hit that Spike Lee was enlisted by Amazon to direct his new project Chiraq. The film will allegedly be a musical comedy about the ongoing issue of street violence in Chicago. Already, the director has lined up the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, John Cusack, Jennifer Hudson and Common for the film.

According to his official Instagram account, Dave Chappelle is the newest addition to the movie’s cast. There’s no further detail regarding the roles being played here — or whether Kanye West will decide to join the project — but at least Nick Cannon will show up as a rapper.

Mr. Lee, please make Nick Cannon battle Common.
