Leading up to the highly anticipated (?) Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, David Spade stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to chat about the new film. So far, the plot (or whether or not the movie will even have one) has been shrouded in mystery. Last night, David Spade revealed some insight into that as well as Christopher Walken’s involvement — as we learned last month that he would be returning for the sequel.
You know what, I’m just going to let him tell it:
In this one, I go back in time — I don’t want to give it all away — but I go back in time, and I see Walken. I meet him earlier. But we get rich there because I know the future. Welp! Gave it all away.
So, yeah. David Spade sounds pretty excited about Joe Dirt 2!
He also told a pretty funny anecdote about Christopher Walken on the set which involves working animal actors in films. While it is legitimately a good story, as Burnsy pointed out — David Spade told a boldfaced lie when claiming to have never worked with a dog actor. I guess that means we won’t be seeing a sequel to Lost and Found anytime soon.
