As much as everyone is psyched about having a Star Wars movie released every year, there were a few who were wondering whether or not we needed a prequel film about Han Solo in the early days of his space smuggling. Part of Han’s appeal is the air of dangerous mystery, so having that cracked wide open gives many fans pause. Still, with the intriguing casting of Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover as the titular nerf herder and Lando Calrissian and the and creative team of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller at the help, people were a little more inclined to give the film a shot. Well, we’ve got one more reason to tune in now, because StarWars.com is reporting that Emilia Clarke will be joining the feature film as well.
Yes, the khaleesi herself will be leaving behind the world of Westeros to explore a galaxy far, far away. No word yet on who the Game of Thrones star will be playing, but six seasons of riding dragons and giving passionate speeches in High Valyrian gives Clarke a bit of an edge when diving into another fantasy realm. Will the Mother of Dragons go head to head with Solo or will she be wielding a blaster by his side? Time will tell, but here’s hoping she gets a better deal than in Terminator Genisys.
