“Do you wanna split a quaalude?” That is the first song you would have heard if this years two most pirated movies were mashed into one film. You gotta admit, that sounds like it would be a damn catchy tune. Seems Wolf of Wall Street and Frozen topped this years list of the movies that were the most downloaded and pirated. Something for the whole family to steal!
Director Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as real-life stockbroker Jordan Belfort, was the most illegally downloaded movie of 2014, according to piracy-tracking firm Expicio…..Disney hit Frozen was the second-most pirated film of the year, followed by George Clooney-Sandra Bullock starrer Gravity at No. 3 and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug at No. 4.
So essentially, what was happening was, while the parents were downloading Wolf to watch while their kids were asleep, the kids were downloading Frozen to watch while they were pretending to sleep. In essence, it was a beautiful year of you lived in a family of movie pirates.
