The legendary James Earl Jones was honored earlier this month at the 31st Annual Musical Celebration of Broadway, while the godfather of Star Wars, George Lucas, made an appearance with a taped segment which was played at the ceremony. In the video above, Lucas introduces all the actors that could have been the ultimate baddie in the original Star Wars trilogy, Darth Vader, who of course was played by Jones.
It’s a fun little piece of humor with cameos by Rose Byrne, Angela Lansbury and more, but nothing can compare to the man himself. As for Jones, it’s unclear as to whether or not he’ll reprise his role as the evil Vader in J.J. Abrams’ upcoming The Force Awakens in some flashback or other form, but we can dream.
