It only took a couple months for Jurassic World to break all sorts of box office records. Currently holding the title as the third highest grossing movie ever, Universal just locked down June 22, 2018 as the premiere date for the blockbuster’s first sequel.
Back in June, FX acquired the TV rights to air Jurassic World starting in 2017. Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will obviously return to reprise their roles in the new movie which will be executive produced once again by Steven Spielberg. Colin Trevorrow may be moving onto bigger and better things, but he will be co-writing the sequel’s script with Derek Connolly.
Jurassic World will complete its global domination when it premieres theatrically in Japan on August 5th.
