The idea of Louis C.K. starring in a children’s movie may seem as farfetched as him getting killed by aliens, but by next summer, it will become a most-likely hilarious reality. The Secret Life of Pets, co-starring Kevin Hart (which is a requirement for all films now), will follow the goings-on of your beloved fluffy friends when you leave the house for work and school. Though, there will probably be less masturbation jokes from Louis than we are used to.

The forthcoming film won’t just feature these two titans of stand-up. Comedic favorites like Eric Stonestreet, Ellie Kemper, Lake Bell, Jenny Slate, Bobby Moynihan, Hannibal Buress, and Albert Brooks are also attached to the project. The creative team behind the Despicable Me franchise (Director Chris Renaud and writers Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio) are signed on to the film slated for a July 2016 release. While it may not be the exact Louis we’re used to, it still could be thematically correct to have elaborate poop jokes.
