‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ Is Roaring Back Into IMAX Theaters To Be Shiny And Chrome For A Limited Time

Mad Max: Fury Road is continuing its explosive assault on the pop culture world. Earlier this week, George Miller’s cinematic eyeful hit Blu-ray with all sorts of nifty apocalyptic goodies to pour over. As well, WB Interactive finally released their Mad Max video game — which was stuck in development hell for seven years — to the gaming masses. As someone who is now in possession of both items, it’s very possible that this upcoming three day weekend will be nothing but SHINY AND CHROME.

But hey, did you somehow miss your initial trip to Valhalla when Mad Max: Fury Road hit theaters back in May? Or, are you like me and need a repeat of that cinematic experience only George Miller can deliver (that Babe: Pig In The City, tho!)? Well you are in luck as Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron will once again be hitting the big screen in full IMAX glory. The movie will begin its new weeklong run on Friday, September 11th in magnificent 3D. That’s right, I said “magnificent!” What’s more, the original image and sound quality have apparently been digitally remastered to meet all of IMAX’s standards.

If ever there was a movie to watch in IMAX 3D, it’d be this film. Hell, Mad Max: Fury Road probably depicts the best cinematic use of orange and teal, ever! Oh, what a lovely day!
