With his turn as Hank Pym in Ant-Man, Hollywood legend Michael Douglas joins an already long and impressive list of movie stars who have played roles in the Marvel Universe. From Sir Anthony Hopkins in Thor to Robert Redford in The Winter Soldier, and Robert Downey, Jr. and Samuel L. Jackson lining their Scrooge McDuck-like vaults with Marvel coin, there is no shortage of A-list super power in the MCU, and even the greatest of the great like Al Pacino wouldn’t mind getting in on the action. Hell, Jason Statham apparently wants his grandmother in a film, too!
Needless to say, Douglas wouldn’t mind if Pym sticks around for as long as they’ll have him, as the 70-year old actor is certainly not allergic to paychecks, especially if they come for a movie that already has 400 characters in it, leaving just two lines for him.
… now that his character Hank Pym has been added to the Marvel cinematic universe, Douglas wouldn’t mind popping up in an even bigger Avengers film. “Honey, I’ll go anywhere,” he told us. “I’ll go anywhere they want me to. I like this Marvel family; it’s a lovely group. I’ll be honest, their track record’s impeccable — I mean, that’s 12 in a row, right? Who’s done that?” (Via Vulture)
He’s right. Not even Ernest P. Worrell himself could run a successful franchise that long, honey.
That’s right, if Douglas is going to start calling everyone honey, I’m doing it, too. Men and women, we’re all honey now, honey. It just flows so well.
