Husbands really have been knocking it out of the park this week. Between driving 800 miles for chicken or painting their pinky nails, they’re going above and beyond to show their partners how much they love them. Must be the Mother’s Day spirit. Ashton Kutcher and Dax Shepard decided to get in on the action too, surprising their wives with kisses and flowers on The Ellen Show.
Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis are on the promotional trail for their upcoming comedy, Bad Moms, and were shocked and awww’d when their Punk’d husbands showed up on the popular talk show. What started out as a goofy Mother’s Day video tribute became a cute couples interview instead. The charming quartet joined Ellen Degeneres for one of her favorite games, Never Have I Ever, and the results were illuminating. Both couples have hooked up on set, Shepard may want to nix the consent jokes in the future, and Kunis definitely brings out the best in Kutcher.
Sure, you can chalk this up to a publicity stunt, but isn’t it more fun to think that Bell and Kunis got a nice surprise instead? Don’t lose hope in the spontaneous gesture, ye cynical masses.
