It’s Monday, and Monday sucks. What doesn’t suck, though, is dancing. Sadly, in most workplace environments, you can’t dance at your desk. So, what do you do between now and 5 p.m.? You can watch this supercut of all your favorite movie characters (especially Oscar Isaac doing it up in Ex Machina) waving their hands in the air like they just don’t care and letting their feet do the talking.
Set to the time-honored rhythms of C+C Music Factory’s “Everybody Dance Now,” this video is sure to make you feel something, if even for a second. And hey, on a Monday, that’s good enough. Just, you know, don’t start doing the robot at your desk or your co-workers will think you’re really weird (or really cool depending on where you work).
Need more motivation: Medical research suggests that dancing isn’t just fun, it’s healthy. In fact, research even suggests that it might make you sharper as you age. So, if anyone asks you why you’re tap-dancing during your afternoon break, just let them know you’re trying to live longer and stay as smart as possible.
And if the clip alone doesn’t do it for you, here’s an extended clip of Tom Cruise getting jiggy with it from Tropic Thunder. That’s bound to make your life a little brighter.
