Actor and comedy writer Neil Casey has signed on to Ghostbusters to play the bad guy who will antagonize the movie’s leading ladies. Casey will reunite with director Paul Feig after working with the director on his Yahoo! series Other Space. It’s not clear exactly how he’ll be giving the Ghostbusters a hard time, but it won’t be the first time he’ll be working with some members of the cast. Casey has not only acted in Other Space, Veep, Broad City, and The League, but he’s also written for Saturday Night Live, Inside Amy Schumer, and The Kroll Show.
In other words, it’s probably safe to say that Casey won’t be playing a horror-type villain like Zuul or Vigo the Carpathian — more like Yanosh from Ghostbusters 2, the guy who was “drippingz vith goo” and kidnapped Sigourney Weaver’s baby. While comical, he still got the opportunity to be creepy, if not scary.
