Neil Patrick Harris had a breakout joke in what has otherwise so far been a pretty tame Oscars ceremony, after Dana Perry (left) and Ellen Goosenberg Kent came up to accept the Academy Award for their short documentary film, Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1. It was maybe not the best timing given the heavy subject matter of the documentary, as well as Perry’s tribute to her son who committed suicide — but hey, it was a pretty fantastic dress. Somebody had to go there.
Likewise, Twitter had some fun with it as well:
How many furbies died for this woman's dress? pic.twitter.com/UsEsiFGBZN
