This little boy had the most amazing birthday in his life (so far), thanks to his industrious father, who spent days creating a Transformers birthday cake that truly transforms. The boy’s friends must have thought he was the coolest kid in town this weekend. Just wait until Monday, when someone brings super-smelly markers to class, and then this memory will fade into social media history. Until then, this boy is riding high in the popularity department.
Father Russell Munro documented the cake-building process, for he must still be in the midst of his own Transformers phase. If you dig Autobots and Decepticons, that phase probably never ends. Munro built the cake’s transforming base with the help of a 3D printer. Then it became a matter of baking and frosting over the mechanical parts and motors until the final product arrived. No matter what other decorations this party included, this confection took the cake.
The little boy’s face lit up when his cake began to move on its own. That’s a little creepy in retrospect, right? Eating such a cake could form a solid basis for a horror movie, but I shouldn’t have rewatched The Stuff recently. No worries, this cake will not possess anyone. Happy birthday, kiddo.
